Fall is in the Air! Join Us for Food, Fun, and Crafts at the Market This Week

It’s going to be a lovely fall day for the market this week.  Perfect day to enjoy the new arrivals and the old favorites!  Parents, bring the kids down for a Homemade Playdough Demo at 4:30pm, then relax during children’s story time at 5pm.  Enjoy music this week from original indie folk rock musician Tristan Buie-Collard.

Cheese lovers! Come get your fresh mozzarella!  Our newest vendor Pete’s Cheese serves it up in ball and braid form.   Add color to your market basket with crisp Red Gala Apples and all kinds of early fall greens: lettuce, baby greens mix, and kale. Find plenty of winter squash varieties, leeks, turnips, celeriac, green beans, sweet potatoes, peppers, eggplant, bush beans, muscadine grapes, and much more.

Vandele Farms is still running their great sale on all roasts at $5/lb.  Thinking chicken instead?  Stop by Which Came First Farm for a sale on chicken breasts.

New treats this week from The Chocolate Lab, including chocolate covered bacon.  Hey, might as well enjoy it over a cup of ice cream!  Or keep it simple with roasted nuts, fresh lemonade, or a delectable array of baked goods.  There’s no denying that the market delivers on good snacks!

Visit Bonny Bath for beeswax candles and handmade soaps available in four different scents, all with a base of organic olive and coconut oils, sustainable palm oil, sweet almond oil and Young Living Essential oils.  See new Baltic Amber necklaces from Jenni Gems.  And welcome back Smart Mrs. Evans with her oh so smart homemade laundry detergents.

Read on to see our weekly recipe section, in addition to the variety of produce, artisanal foods and crafts our vendors will have for you.

See you this Thursday, September 13 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm!
