What a fun day we have in store for you!  Make sure to bring the kids down to meet Angel Ridge Farm’s 3 1/2 week old baby pygmy goats!  Help bottle feed them at 4pm, and have your kids enter the naming contest.  The goats will be back next week as well, and the contest will continue then.  The winner of the contest will receive a Melissa and Doug Bug Stencil Kit.  Keep your eye on the newsletter for the winner!  More fun ensues this week with a kid lead Herbal Tea Demo at 5pm, as well as the well received children’s story time from the Oakley Library at 5pm every Thursday in August!  Enjoy music from Joe Hallock too!

We’ve got few new vendors this week! Check out the handmade homesewn goodness from the High Fiber Co. their reusable lunch bags are perfect for the kiddos heading back to school! Also new this week Mrs. Evan’s homemade laundry detergents, and Bavarian Hot Pretzels!

The bounty of produce is still going strong this week.  Visit our many farmers for slicing, paste and cherry tomatoes, sweet and spicy peppers, shallots, potatoes, eggplant, celeriac root, leeks, edamame, bush bean varieties, arugula, basil and much more.  Celebrate back to school sandwiches with Fletcher Village Bakery’s sandwich loaves: choose from rye, 9 grain and sourdough.  Enjoy it with Looking Glass Creamery’s Pack Square Brie, fresh and bountiful this season!

Remember that the market is a great place for tasty treats!  Visit Sakshi for delicious glazed pecans and almonds and fresh squeezed lemonade, or grab a cup of ice cream from The Chocolate Lab.  Visit Gladheart Farm for yerba mate energy bars, in three different flavors.

Get your kids off to a healthy start at school with Bonny Bath’s Thieves Spray.  This immunity building blend of cinnamon bark, clove bud, eucalyptus radiata, lemon and rosemary (from Young Living Essential Oils) will arm little ones against the germs that love them.

It’s never too early to start planning for Thanksgiving.  Stop by Which Came First Farm to put in your order for Thanksgiving turkeys.

Welcome back High Country Nursery this week!  Peruse their collection of fine and unusual climate hardy landscape plants, including Japanese maples, conifers, roses, bonsai and other trees and shrubs.

This market wouldn’t be what it is without the support of the Oakley United Methodist Church.  Pastor Shelly Webb has done so much for our community and she just keeps on going!  She finished the new website and it looks great.  Check it out here!

See you this Thursday, August 23 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm!
